I was not always into working out. Actually for most of my life, I wasn’t very active at all. But, that has all changed!!!
After gaining 80 pounds during pregnancy, I did not recognize myself after having my child. I knew I needed to make a change after not being able to push her more than a mile in her stroller. And I did make a change!
In late 2012, I started attending group fitness classes and fell in love! The support from classmates and an awesome instructor helped me push myself harder than I ever have.
At the time I was working in child care but after working out consistently for 9 months, I knew I was ready for a career change. I wanted to help people feel the way I was feeling. More confident, more energetic, and overall, happier!
I got a job managing a gym full time in August 2013 , and still enjoy it very much! But I wanted to help even more! I became a Certified Group Class Instructor in August 2013 through AFAA , an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, and TRX Qualified Trainer in August 2015. I began my journey with Lionheart APF/LH Crossfit as a member taking classes.
The atmosphere at the gym was so motivating and positive and I was ecstatic when I was offered my position as a trainer for the Beginner’s Boot Camp Class!
They say “Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” This is very true. Everyday I get to watch people transform not only physically, but mentally, and discover the beauty in their strength! I have found my passion!
Aside from work, I love training with my boyfriend, Ryan and setting an example of health and wellness for our kids!
