I know that Monday is a day that a lot of people don’t look forward to because they can’t seem to focus and get any work done. So today I’m going to tell you why changing your thought process about Mondays will change your life.

Why You Can’t Focus

For most people, the week gets “better” by Wednesday. By that point, you’ve already missed Monday and Tuesday and potentially halfway of Wednesday ’cause you’re like, “Yes, the week is halfway over.” So you just lost two days’ worth of beneficial work that you could have gotten done for the week.

Not only do you waste multiple days of the week, but you are most likely too distracted or overwhelmed by all the tasks you have to get done for the week. You try to get one thing done, only to be distracted by another. Before you know it you have spent hours working and barely accomplished anything.

Focus On One Thing at a Time

Personally, I like Mondays. I found the reason that I like Monday so much is because I like taking on new challenges the week might have for me.

Although I like challenges, It can be hard for me to stay focused on one task at a time. I will get excited about something and start a project, and then I get excited about another project and try to move on to that. So I had to force myself to put my efforts into only one thing at a time to stay on track!

I look at the week and say, “Okay, what’s the ONE thing that I need to work on this week that will help me next week, the next month, and so forth?”

As soon as I started looking at it like that and breaking down what it is I need to get done, it made things a lot more manageable.

So Monday is that opportunity to say, “Now I’m moving on to that ONE next thing.” Then next week, repeat the process.

Change Your Life

I promise you, if you look at Mondays like that it will make a huge difference in your life. You will become more productive and feel more accomplished throughout the week.

Take time to write down your goals and what you actually want to accomplish in the long term. Once you have the long term goal set all you have to do is work your way backwards. Now you’re only doing one thing at a time.

Let Monday become a challenge to conquer!
